Good old Toby even survived a week at our house, not a very animated pet, he slept for most of the week only waking at night time to exercise in his cage - how can something SOOOO very small make so much noise at night !
He never got the chance to feast upon us with his fangs, we were simply too scared to allow him out of his cage.

Haha, very funny. I’ll be sure to call animal control when that happens, until then, he’ll sleep like a hamster log and will only come out at dinner time. (He knows when dinner is), I’ll make him wee on you if you’re not careful. Toby’s proud of his teeth.

That’s a very cute little fellow, but didn’t the pet shop tell you that you’re supposed to pull out their front teeth at 3 months old? No wonder he’s biting people’s exposed flesh and then ‘doing his toilet’ to show his disgust! That’s ingrained in every hamster’s instincts.

Hamsters are known as ‘Land Piranha’ in their native town of Bitzchudorf in South America. Attacks on humans by gangs of hungry ferel hamsters are well documented, and at certain times of year, the whole town can be overcome by the odour of hamster toilet. There simply isn’t enough sawdust to go round. I remember once that ‘Blue Peter’ held a fundraiser asking for donations of wood chippings to send to Bitzchudorf because the situation was so bad.
And the noise from all those rattly little exercise wheels can be deafening….

So be sure to ask Dad for a pair of pliers and get those nasty little incisors pulled before Toby takes over the whole of Pinner in a reign of rodent terror!
